Z_GIS is an interdisciplinary centre for Geoinformatics contributing to visualise, understand, manage and communicate spatial phenomena of the system Earth more effectively. It is dedicated to applied research, outreach activities, professional training and aims to catalysing the implementation of new technologies for spatial decision support and policy support. Z_GIS is generating new knowledge based on research in conceptual, methodological and applied aspects within geoinformation science. It supports knowledge transfer form the scientific to the application domain.
