Briefly describe your organisation
The mission of the Department of Forest- and Soil Sciences are research and scientific education in (Forest-) Ecosystems analysis, in Ecosystem modelling and -management, Soil use and Soil protection.
The Institute of Silviculture as the only institution at university level is responsible for the scientific topic areas (a) general and special silviculure, (b) mountain forest silviculture, (c) silvicultural planning and decision making, (d) silvicultural measures and techniques, (e) forest nursery and forest genetics.
