 Briefly describe your organisation
The Institute for Communications Engineering and RF-Systems (NTHFS) is engaged with the design, simulation and implementation of algorithms, circuits, components, and systems for wireless communications, microwave/radar sensors, local positioning, and wireless sensor networks. Furthermore, digital signal processing for mobile communications, microwave/radar sensing applications, local positioning, and wireless sensor networks is a current research area of NTHFS. The scientific staff of NTHFS consists of 2 professors, and about 18 scientists and Ph.D. students. NTHFS incorporates an RF and wireless communications measurement laboratory for frequencies up to 500 GHz, an electronics laboratory, and a design and simulation laboratory. The competences of NTHFS include system-level simulation of radio communication- microwave/radar sensor-, and local positioning systems, optimized combination of digital signal processing and analog (RF) front-end design, signal processing, circuit design of RFICs, and protocolls for wireless sensor networks
