 Central aim of organisation
Development of innovative and new recommender and configuration technologies

 Briefly describe your organisation
ConfigWorks is a strongly research-oriented company developing recommendation technologies with a particular focus on knowledge-based techniques for the personalized recommendation of complex (configurable) products and services (e.g., financial services, digital cameras, etc.).

The major focuses of technology development are the following:
- effective knowledge acquisition for recommender applications: these technologies enable end-user development environments for recommender applications thus supporting effective development and maintenance processes for recommenders.

- consumer buying behavior and recommender applications: related technologies allow the integration of theories from cognitive and decision psychology with knowledge-based recommender technologies. This strongly interdisciplinary research focus provides deep insights into consumer buying behavior and more effective exploitation of basic recommender technologies.

Research projects are conducted in close cooperation with the Klagenfurt University
