Briefly describe your organisation
The Research Institute of the Red Cross qualitatively and quantitatively approaches and deals with relevant societal problems and works on developing innovative solutions. Central part of all our activities is to guarantee the transfer of project results back into the practical context of health and social services. Theory and practical experience through our access to end users (elderly, ems, desaster management) go together in order to assure the quality of our research.
The Research Institute of the Red Cross works in four research fields:1. Security, rescue, emergency care, 2. Care and attendance, 3. Labour market, employment, volunteers, 4. Health promotion and prevention.
Our main competence is methodological knowlegde, long time experience in the health and social sector because of various reference projects. Target groups of our projects range from institutions (due to evaluation procedures provided), ems, senior citizens and unemployed to deprived persons.
