Applied research

 Briefly describe your organisation
The competence unit Molecular Diagnostics focuses on the research and development of innovative solutions for medical diagnostic and life style applications in point-of-care settings. The ICT related fields of expertise are
1. Novel electronic, photonic and magnetic sensing devices and systems covering simulation & design, device characterization, system integration and application specific demonstration of functionality. With respect to photonics the team has a particularly strong know-how in the field of integrated optical waveguide devices.
2. Bioinformatics covering the field of processing and analysis of highly multivariate OMICS data, feature selection, machine learning, and knowledge generation in a biological context.
