 Briefly describe your organisation The Department of Geoinformation is one of the leading institutions in theoretical aspects of geoinformation science worldwide. Research topics range from economic aspects and problems of data quality to the perception of space. The team consists of researchers with various backgrounds (geodesy, geography, planning, computer science).
The department has strong connections to the research community and the members regularly present their work on international conferences. Recent projects deal with revision of geographic data, 3D-aspects of GIS, and navigation of pedestrians.
